Joint Secretary (I&M)
Smt. Anjali Sinha, Joint Secretary (I&M), Department of Atomic Energy has been appointed on the Board of NPCIL as Government Nominee Director with effect from July 16, 2024. She is an Indian Railway Service Officer of 1997 batch, and a Mechanical Engineer. She has worked across railway operations, maintenance, planning, and production over the last 26 years. Her last stint was in the Central Railway Headquarters, where she was in charge of developing the overall infrastructure enhancement plan for rolling stock maintenance on Central Railway. Previously, she worked as the first woman Chief Workshop Manager in Indian Railways when she was given charge of Matunga workshop, Central Railway's largest rolling stock maintenance workshop. She oversaw over 4500 employees and led the workshop modernization to make it ready to maintain the new technology rolling stock inducted on Indian Railways. She has worked across other railway units including Western Railway (Mumbai, Ahmedabad), South Central Railway (Hyderabad), Northern Railway (Lucknow), and the Diesel Locomotive production unit in Varanasi.
