New Projects

Government of India has accorded In-Principle approval for taking up Pre-Project Activities required for setting up NPPs at following site.

• Nuclear Power Project at Mithi Virdi, Gujarat (6 x 1000 MWe), LWR
• Nuclear Power Project at Kovvada, Andhra Pradesh  (6 X 1000 MWe) LWR
• Nuclear Power Project at Chutaka, Madhya Pradesh (2 x 700 MWe), PHWR

Accordingly, Term of Reference (TOR) for all above sites are obtained from Ministry of Environment & Forest (MoEF), New Delhi for carrying out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Studies. The EIA studies of these projects are in advance stage.
